Scheduling Eighth grade students will begin the scheduling process for high school on Friday, February 12. All 8th grade students will attend a scheduling meeting in the HS Auditorium at 11:00. The students will be accompanied by their classroom teachers to the meeting. Students will be given important scheduling information at this time. A brief presentation by Mrs. Boddy will also be included. On Tuesday, February 23 there will be a final important meeting to complete scheduling for parents AND students. This meeting will be in the HS Auditorium at 6:00. If you have any questions about scheduling or the transition to high school, please contact Mrs. Boddy at 779-2610.

Winter Games There is a sign-up sheet for Winter Games 7th and 8th grade girlsŐ volleyball in the MS office. There will be shirts that are available for $10 if you are interested in purchasing one. The shirt it is NOT mandatory and student will not be required to have one to play on the team.

IM T-Shirts and Shoe Bags The IMHS Yearbook is selling Iron Mountain T-shirts and shoe bags. The t-shirt is selling for $10.00, the shoe bag is $15.00 or save and get both for only $20.00. Samples are on display in the office with order forms. All orders must be recieved in the office by March 5.

Class Pictures On Monday, February 8, Lake Shore Photography will be here to take a group picture of the MS classes, one for 7th grade and one for 8th grade. The pictures will be taken during seminar. Teachers with 7th grade students 2nd hour: Please walk your students to the MS gym at the ringing of the bell at 9:35. The photographer will be set up to take your picture at that time. After the picture I will talk with the kids for about 5 minutes. At that time you will take them back to your classroom for the remainder of seminar. Teachers with 8th grade students 2nd hour: Please walk your students to the MS gym at 9:55. Again, the photographer will be set up to take the class picture and I will spend about 5 minutes talking to the students after the photo. When I am done you will take your students back to your classroom for the remainder of seminar.

MTU Summer Youth Programs Students in grades 6-8 are encouraged to check out MTU's summer youth camps. There are a veriety of explorations offered each summer, each an intensive weeklong look at a particular field of study or area of interest. Pick up a flyer in the office for more information. Students in 8th grade may apply for a $200.00 student activity scholarship through Mrs. Boddy. At least 1 $200.00 scholarship will be awarded to a MS student for a summer educational camp. Scholarship information will be available after spring break.

MS Volleyball Tournament North Dickinson High School is sponsoring a MS volleyball tournament. The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, February 13 at ND High School with games starting at 11:00. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Registration deadline is Thursday, February 11. Pick up a flyer in the office for contact information.

Winter Games Attention 7th and 8th Grade Boys: The deadline to sign up for dodgeball in the Great 8 Winter games is this Friday. There will be separate divisions for each grade. Teams must have 6-8 players. Please sign up your team in the office by the end of the day Friday. More information will come next week.

MS Yearbooks Middle School yearbooks are on sale for $14.00 each. The envelopes are in the middle school office located on the third floor of Central. Please make checks out to Central School. Yearbook envelopes and money should be turned in to Mrs. Brouillette in the MS office. All yearbook orders must be in by February 26. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Basanese-Hill.

Lunch Schedule The 7th Grade will be first in the cafeteria the week of 2-8 through 2-12.

MS Yearbook Pictures THe following students are asked to report to Mrs. Basanese for pictures: Students who qualified to be in the spelling bee during seminar on Tuesday (tomorrow). Students who are in Reading Olympics (Wednesday). Thursday is the S.A.D.D. picture. Students are to report to her classroom during seminar.

MS SADD Meeting There will be a MS SADD meeting on Thursday, the 11th during seminar in Mrs. Brock's classroom.
